"Apple in the Woods" Release Date: Nov. 1, 2021

Release date for “Apple in the Woods" is Summer 2021. Stay tuned for the exact release date!

This fun and magical story is about a dog named Apple, who loves to play in the woods. The woods are magical and as the day progresses, “Apple” makes some new friends, Like Erika the fairy, Josh the cat, and visits a magical pond where one of her new friends learns to swim. Apple’s new friends are not perfect. Apple’s has one ear that stands straight up and one ear that is flopped over. Josh the cat learns to overcome not knowing how to swim.

"Two-Winged Henry" Release date May 2022

Let me introduce you to “Henry."

Henry the two-winged dragonfly meets a little girl & a bumblebee in her backyard. The bumblebee makes fun of Henry and the fact that he looks different with only two wings instead of four. The bumblebee soon learns that he has hurt Henry’s feelings and learns that it is ok to be different. In the end, they all become good friends.

This is a story of inclusion and diversity and teaches a child that we do not all look alike. And that is okay.

"Apple & the Search for Brother Bush" Release date to be determined

2nd Story in the Apple Series; Release date for "Apple & the Search for Brother Bush" is to be decided. However expect it to be 3-6 months after "Apple in the Woods" hits shelves.

Apple's adventure continues with her new friends she met in "Apple in the Woods" to help find Nicholas the animated bush's lost brother. During this adventure the characters make a few more new friends and find Zack the missing animated bush in spot they never would have imagined.

"Sophia Takes on the Beach" Release Date 2022

A children’s picture book for ages 4-8. This book is about a 5-year-old girl named Sophia; who’s two moms take her to the beach for the first time. Sophia learns about water safety and sun safety. During her adventure at the beach, she makes new friends while building a sandcastle, eats food from a French fry stand because their lunch went bad, and eating ice cream with one of her new friends. The beach can be a fun and safe place to enjoy family time.

The story focuses on a child’s first experience at the beach. I touch on diversity and inclusion as the 5-year-old girl lives with two moms. The story expresses her anxiety, all though light anxiety about going to the beach for the first time and swimming in a lake verses a pool. The child learns about not swimming alone and wearing sunscreen to protect herself.

I believe children will relate to the story and I’m hoping this will aide parents when dealing with a child that might have reservations/fears/anxiety about going to the beach.

"Erika Conquers Surgery" Release Date 2022

This a children’s picture book for ages 4-8. The story focuses on a child’s first experience with surgery. A little girl named Erika, while having a tea party with her stuffed animals, notices a bump on her leg. The story will walk a young child through Erika’s experience of finding the lump, visiting the doctor’s and having surgery to remove the lump. Erika expresses anxiety over her surgery, and I show how she overcomes these anxieties with the support of her family. The story is meant to help other young children that are scared or anxious of surgery. I want to provide families with a quick and easy read to help show their child that having surgery isn’t as bad as their worried minds believe it will be.
